About Instituto Anga

Anga Institute was born in 2019 with the purpose of inspiring, developing, recognizing and welcoming conscious leaders for Brazil and the world. We seek to accelerate the good transformations that are already happening in the world through leadership. We understand that in a society where structural racism limits the development of black people, making it impossible to access leadership roles and influence, is part of our purpose and mission to train more leaders aligned with the structural change we want to cause in the fight against racism. To change a narrative we need to change the protagonists.

Anga Institute has three initiatives focused on leadership development and recognition - Young Leaders
Award, Young Leaders Program and Firminas Program - Leadership Academy for Black Women.

The Young Leaders Award was created to recognize who are the young leaders who cause the status quo within the organizations in which they operate, and who will be the great leaders of the future. In 2023 we will hold our seventh edition, and we have already had over 2500 young people registered, 30 recognized young people, 10 of whom are young black leaders. Check out who these young people are: https://www.institutoanga.com.br/pr%C3%AAmio-young-Leaders-highlights

The Young Leaders Program is a initiative to accelerate the development of young people as leaders, so they can understand their purpose through tools for career. In 6 editions of the Program, we have already trained 150 young leaders. Together, the Young Leaders Award and the Program are the gateway to the entry of these leaders in the Young Leaders Community, a network of about 300 young people to exchange knowledge, build collective projects, mentoring.

At the end of 2020, the Firminas Program emerged, our academy of leaders for black women, enhancing our mission to empower new protagonists, black women. Firminas is an initiative created and executed only by black women, in order to create an environment of empowerment and strength, representativeness and security, while developing black women to lead, pursue their dreams, their enterprises, your future or important roles. In two years of the program, 230 women were formed over 5 classes and also joined a network of connection, exchange and learning, called Firminas Community.

In 2022, we launched the "Leading Conscious Innovations" Archetype, a study conducted with 42 Brazilian executives and experts with the scientific basis of studies published by MIT Sloan Management Review Brazil to profile leadership oriented towards the emerging future. They were co-sponsors of this initiative with the Anga Institute, MIT Sloan Brazil, System B, the Conscious Capitalism Institute, the Humanizadas and the Casa Merlina. The final products of this study originated a conceptual material https://www.institutoanga.com.br/arquetipo-2023 and a documentary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0trt0BLklE .
