About Southside Birthing Center

Founded in 2021, the Chicago South Side Birth Center aims to address inequities in birth outcomes by offering culturally centered, midwifery care within the community. As a non-profit, independent, Black midwife-led birth center, it provides reproductive health care, education, resources, community groups, and holistic therapeutic services to families in their own neighborhood. The center's mission is to promote wellness and abundance in whole health through community-focused, culturally centered midwifery care.
