My name is Elaina Huerta and I am pursuing a degree in Communication Science and Disorders. My goal is to attend graduate school and become a Speech Language Pathologist. I mainly focus on helping children in need who have communication disorders or language delays. Inclusion and diversity are two topics I am passionate about since it is important to recognize the significance of the two within the field in practice. Coming from a diverse family line of immigrants from Cuba, I wish to be an important role in the Speech Pathology field. I hope to study and go into early intervention and I would love for everyone to have a voice and for everyone to communicate in their own special and unique ways!
