Our mission:

a.              Promote communications between residents and city agencies, private business, developers, charities and elected officials.

b.              Promote the local business environment for economic growth and promote neighborhood reinvestment.

c.              Enhance the cultural health of the area, both in artistic achievement and promotion, and in relations between various ethnic groups.

d.              OANA aims to accomplish its mission by arranging and facilitating presentations, workshops and town hall meetings for the Astoria community. On a personal level, I am Founder and President of OANA, and also a 25 year member of Queens Community Board One. I had been on the Land Use Committee for 25 years, and I have also chaired parks, recreation and Culture Committee for 12 years.
